dreamstime s 1875414It never ceases to amaze us just how brave some of our patients are.  Some pets make a remarkable recovery from a major operation or illness and some cope admirably with lifetime conditions.  And in all cases, they still manage to find the energy and enthusiasm to wag tails, purr, give kisses and reciprocate the love we all give them.  Over the next year we will be featuring our Bravehearts across the Pet Doctors group - below are their stories ...

MARGO - Braveheart of the Month - April 2014 - Guildford

Margo was out on a walk with her family when she ran ahead of them and came back with a large gash on her leg. She was brought straight in to us where our vet examined her and saw that the gash went ¾ of the way around her leg. This meant that there was a higher risk that the wound would not heal as blood supply may be compromised to the skin.   Found out how Margo got on here ...

BERTIE LANGTON - Braveheart of the Month - February 2012 - Chandlers Ford

Bertie is a Shar Pei with a skin condition called Mucinosis. This is where the skin swells and produces bubbles of mucus on the surface. Bertie has suffered with this condition for many years but then in January, things got worse.  Read his story here ...
