Merel Rehorst-Smith DVM MRCVS GPCert (ExAP)
Veterinary Surgeon
Merel will be joining us as our new Veterinary Surgeon in February. She graduated in 2003 from Utrecht University in the Netherlands, and has been working in England since 2004. She has lived and worked in the Surrey area for 6 years. Her special interests include Exotic Animals, Internal and Geriatric Medicine, Dentistry, and Ultrasonography. Merel has three cats called Dinky, Willow and Cosworth. She also has a rescued Leopard Gecko called Lenny!

Jackie Lyon RVN
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Jackie has been working at Pet Doctors East Horsley since 2006. She has been nursing since 2000 and qualified in 2005. Jackie has a great interest in surgery and cat behaviour. She also organises all diabetic and weight clinics at the practice. She has a diabetic cat at home called Pup who's particular interests include food and cuddles.

Jody Katy Barry BSc (Hons) RVN MBVNA
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Jody joined Pet Doctors East Horsley in April 2011, but has been working for Surrey Pet Doctors clinics as a floating nurse since 2005. She has a keen interest in dog and cat behaviour and is working towards becoming an accredited Companion Animal Behaviourist. Jody enjoys nurse consultations, inpatient care and running the puppy classes at the clinic. She has a Rottweiler and Labrador at home called Keane and Sky.

Sara Abbott
Receptionist
Sara has been working for the clinic for longer than she cares to remember! She is the first point of contact for many clients - along with her Golden Retriever and able assistant Maisie. Sara has particular interests in customer care and bereavement support. She helps to run puppy classes at the clinic, and enjoys giving advice to clients on preventative care. Sara is also the reason we have such beautiful hanging baskets surrounding the clinic. She has many pets at home, including a three legged rabbit, guinea pigs and 12 ferrets!
