Consultations are by appointment only, between 9.00-11.30 am and 16.00-18.30 pm Monday - Friday.

On Saturdays we offer a short afternoon consulting period between 16.00-17.00pm.

Nurse consultations are also available for weight and dental checks, general nutritional or training advice,

nail clipping and more. Nurse clinics run by appointment only between 3.00-4.00.

Payment

Payment in full will be required each time we see a patient. There will be a professional fee for all Veterinary Consultations.

We accept payment by cash, debit card, and most major credit cards. We no longer accept cheques.

Food Orders and Repeat Prescriptions

We stock Hills Vet Essentials Science Plan and Prescription diets in the clinic, and can order a wide range of other brands in a range of sizes for next day delivery. Don't forget you will get a discount even on food if you are a healthy pets club member!

We ALWAYS require 24 hours notice for repeat medicine prescriptions. This is so that the Veterinary Surgeon can process the prescription and so we can order in the correct medication and dose for you.

We can provide repeat long-term medications for animals under our care. Your pet will need to be seen reguarly by the Veterinary Surgeon for ongoing repeat prescriptions. This is required by law. Usually we need to see the pet a minimum of every 6 months, although individual circumstances may vary. There will be a charge for all consulations, this is £35.30. We can prescribe 3 months of medication at a time only.

We can also provide written prescriptions if you wish to obtain your medication elsewhere. Again we require 24 hours notice, and for the patient to be seen at least every 6months by the Veterinary Surgeon. There is a charge for the written prescription of £11.65.

Pet Insurance

We strongly recommend Pet Insurance for all cats and dogs. Please feel free to ask us for advice or a help sheet on insurance before you buy.

Unfortunately there is no NHS for pets so getting your pet insured with a good company right from the start is very important. Our Pet Doctors Insurance is ‘cover for life’ which means that if your pet needs long-term medication it will cover them for an ongoing condition. Some insurance companies will not pay for ongoing illnesses after a year or once the limit is reached.
