Welcome to Pet Doctors Guildford. Our aim is to provide you with the best customer service and your pet with the best veterinary care. We are open seven days a week to help our busier clients make an appointment that suits them. We think about the small details to make life easier, for example, our seperate dog and cat waiting areas and we believe that building a relationship with our clients is a very important part of what we do. Monday - Friday 8.00 am - 7.00 pm

Saturday and Sunday 8:30 am - 6:00 pm

Consultations by appointment only
Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 12 pm and 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am - 12:00pm and 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm


Out of hours opening times:

Pet Doctors Guildford are open between 7.00pm – 12.00am for EMERGENCIES seven nights a week.   Call 01483 566322.

There will be a vet and nurse here until midnight and a night nurse staying on site throughout the night every night.

Prices are £77.09 before 10pm and £106.01 after 10pm

  • Lucy Faul BVetMed MRCVS

    Head Veterinary Surgeon

    Lucy graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2010 and has been working at Pet Doctors since 2013. She has a particular interest in Cardiology and is currently studying for a RCVS certificate in that subject; she also enjoys soft tissue surgery. When not at work Lucy enjoys reading, swimming, and singing with Guildford Choral Society.

  • Helen Swift BVetMed GPCert (FelP) MRCVS

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Helen graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2003 and joined us here at Guildford in 2007. Helen has two lovely cats, Maggie and Daisy, who she hand reared. Her special interests are internal medicine and she also has a qualification in acpuncture. Helen also has a certificate in feline medicine. Helen now has two boys - Charlie and James.

  • Sarah Cannon BVetMed MRCVS

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Sarah is originally from California where she completed her first degree in Zoology and Chemistry, but decided to stay in England after graduating from the Royal Veterinary College in July 2015. She joined the Pet Doctors team in August 2015 and is particularly interested in surgery and diagnostic imaging. Sarah grew up with dogs and cats, and helped train her cat to use the toilet instead of a litter tray! Aside from work she enjoys reading, wine tasting, pottery, and horror films.

  • Livia Donati MRCVS

    Veterinary surgeon

    Livia comes from Italy, where she graduated in 2014 in Veterinary Medicine. She moved to UK in 2015 for a research project at Surrey University and then has done an internship in Orthopaedics and Neurology. She joined Pet Doctors in 2017, her main interests are surgery and physiotherapy. When not at work she likes playing basketball, hiking and cooking. Back at home she has four cats that she misses very much.

  • Sally Maynard VN

    Head Veterinary Nurse/Practice Administrator

    Sally has been with us since 2007. She has three dogs, Bob, Beanie & Bentley and two cats. Some of you may recognise 'Bob the Boss' from our picture board in reception, he is something of a mascot. Bob only has three legs due to an accident when he was younger. Due to this Sally has developed a keen interest in physiotherapy and hydrotherapy. She has previously worked at a hydrotherapy centre as well as being an orthopaedic referral nurse for 2.5 years; Sally has also completed a course in physiotherapy. Sally is also the person we go to for dog behaviour and training tips.

  • Cat Wallman RVN

    Veterinary Nurse

    Cat qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1999 and joined Pet Doctors in Guildford in 2004. Cat had previously qualified with a degree in Horticulture, but her love for greyhounds turned her toward veterinary nursing. As well as greyhounds, Cat is especially interested in cat behaviour and has recently passed her FAB Cat Friendly Advanced Nursing with Distinction.

  • Pedro De Oliveira VN

    Veterinary nurse

    Pedro is a Veterinary Nurse from Porto – Portugal and graduated in February 2012 from the Polytechnic Superior Institute of Viana do Castelo. He has been with us since the beginning of March 2017. He did volunteering in some clinics in Portugal, worked with farm animals and in an exotic animals centre in Porto. His degree final traineeship was in the Veterinary Hospital in Teramo Italy for 5 months. He worked for 4 years as a Veterinary Nurse in the Veterinary Hospital of Santa Marinha in Vila Nova de Gaia – Porto - Portugal and in the last and final year as Head Nurse and chief of the Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary Nurses Assistants department. He has a particular interest in exotic animals medicine, wound treatments, neonatology, wildlife, animals welfare and Ecology. In his spare time he loves nature walks, going to river beaches, photography , cooking and historical tours

  • Katy Forbes- Marshall

    Nursing Assistant

    Born & raised in Bahrain. Had an 11 year career in the military serving in both the Navy and the Army. Missed having animals in my life so turned my hand to animal nursing. Started off with work experience, then became a clinical receptionist followed by an Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse. Started at Pet Doctors August 2015 as a floating assistant nurse and became a full time trainee nurse at Guildford in December 2016. Enrolled in college and start course in September 2017 to become a qualified Veterinary Nurse. I currently own one dog and am in the process of re-homing a stray that was brought into one of our partner Clinics a few weeks ago. My interests are very much those of Emergency Medicine and Surgery. P.S. I love camels

  • Jackie Helm


    Jackie has worked for the company since January 2000. Her first love is animals & has owned everything from a horse to a mouse. She also enjoys watching live bands & loves her cottage which she & her husband have been renovating for years. She has also done alot of overland travels in her time - visiting 69 countries to date. Yoga is another favourite to keep the body going & for relaxation aswell.

  • Kayleigh Nash


    Kayleigh started as the morning receptionist February 2017. She completed a three year animal care/management course at Merrist Wood College in November 2011, before during and after completing her time here she has had a range of jobs and work experience. Ranging from one month work experience on a South African game reserve, to five years working at a farm. She is the owner of a troublesome Jack Russell, and also owns three white tree frogs, two tarantulas, two mourning geckos, a ball python and a leopard tortoise. In her spare time she enjoys everything from hiking to reading and attending music festivals.
