We are open seven days a week to help our busier clients make an appointment that suits them. We think about the small details to make life easier, for example, our seperate dog and cat waiting areas and we believe that building a relationship with our clients is a very important part of what we do.   Helen Swift BVetMed GPCert (FelP) MRCVS

  Head Veterinary Surgeon - Clinical Director

  Helen graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2003 and joined us here at Guildford in 2007. Helen has two lovely cats, Maggie and Daisy, who she hand reared. Her special interests are internal medicine and she also has a qualification in acupuncture. Helen also has a certificate in feline medicine.

  Charlotte Smith BVetMed MRCVS

  Veterinary Surgeon

  Charlotte joined us in August 2012 and is a new graduate of the Royal Veterinary College in London. She is working alongside Helen and is quickly learning new skills. At home she has two Finnish Lapphund dogs, Peppi and Fiia and a cat called Ted.

  Louise Needham BVM BVS (Hons) MRCVS, BSc (Hons), BVMedSci (Hons)

  Veterinary Surgeon

  Louise recently graduated from Nottingham University and joined us in the beginning of October 2012. Outside work, she enjoys sailing, horse riding, attending music gigs and jewellery making. At home she has a 9-year-old black Labrador called Ellie and a 11-year-old moggy called Sammy.

  Cat Wallman RVN

  Veterinary Nurse

  Cat qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1999 and joined Pet Doctors in Guildford in 2004. Cat had previously qualified with a degree in Horticulture, but her love for greyhounds turned her toward veterinary nursing. As well as greyhounds, Cat is especially interested in cat behaviour and has recently passed her FAB Cat Friendly Advanced Nursing with Distinction.

  Sally Maynard VN

  Veterinary Nurse

  Sally has been with us since 2007. She has two dogs, Bob and Beanie and two cats. Some of you may recognise 'Bob the Boss' from our picture board in reception, he is something of a mascot. Bob only has three legs due to an accident when he was younger. Due to this Sally has developed a keen interest in physiotherapy and hydrotherapy. She has previously worked at a hydrotherapy centre as well as being an orthopaedic referral nurse for 2.5 years; Sally has also completed a course in physiotherapy. Sally is also the person we go to for dog behaviour and training tips.

  Receptionist

  Annie joined us in January. She has a college degree in Animal Management and has worked with a dog trainer. Annie has a soft spot for dogs and adores her Staffie cross girl called Queeny.

  Kelly Charlton RVN

  Veterinary Nurse

  Kelly is here at weekends and often covers other staff on holiday here and in other Pet Doctors sites. She enjoys all aspects of nursing. At home Kelly has a guinea pig called Darwin. Her interests include old Volkswagen cars and dining out.

• Helena Molloy VN

  Veterinary Nurse

  Helena is one of our weekend nurses often helps us out with cover. She has a dog called Twizzle who she rescued and brought home from China!
