Welcome to Pet Doctors Guildford. Our aim is to provide you with the best customer service and your pet with the best veterinary care. We are open seven days a week to help our busier clients make an appointment that suits them. We think about the small details to make life easier, for example, our seperate dog and cat waiting areas and we believe that building a relationship with our clients is a very important part of what we do. We are now open 8.30 - 18.00 on Saturdays and Sundays.

Out of hours opening times:

Pet Doctors Guildford are open between 7.00pm – 12.00am for EMERGENCIES seven nights a week.   Call 01483 566322.

There will be a vet and nurse here until midnight and a night nurse staying on site throughout the night every night.

Prices are £74.84 before 10pm and £102.92 after 10pm

  • Lucy Faul BVetMed MRCVS

    Head Veterinary Surgeon

    Lucy joined us in September 2013. She graduated in 2010 from the London Royal Veterinary College. She has special interests in Cardiology, Neurology ,Feline Medicine and soft-tissue surgery. Lucy has also done extra training in diagnostic imaging and in particular ultrasonography. Outside of work Lucy enjoys choral singing, riding and swimming. At home she has a very mischievous Maine Coon cat called Leo who keeps her on her toes.

  • Dr Maykel Povea Mora DVM MSc MRCVS

    Clinical Director/Veterinary Surgeon Guildford Hub

    Maykel is our new veterinary surgeon who is now working with the East Horsley team on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. He will then be finishing his week at the Guildford clinic on a Thursday and Friday. Maykel obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, with First Class Honours, from the University of Havana, Cuba in 2002 and he is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons since 2008. Dr Mora is a very experienced veterinary surgeon and has undertaken extensive postgraduate training in many areas of small animal clinical practice in the UK, Australia and the USA. His professional interests include Diagnostic Imaging and Surgery both soft- tissue and orthopaedics. He also has a keen interest in flexible Endoscopy with a very special interest in advanced Laparoscopic and Video Assisted Thoracic Surgery aka keyhole surgery. In conjunction with his veterinary duties Maykel is also one of our Clinical Directors, where he is managing the East Horsley, Guilford, Fetcham and Onslow clinics. In his spare time Maykel enjoys salsa dancing, reading, leisure walking and a good movie.

  • Helen Swift BVetMed GPCert (FelP) MRCVS

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Helen graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2003 and joined us here at Guildford in 2007. Helen has two lovely cats, Maggie and Daisy, who she hand reared. Her special interests are internal medicine and she also has a qualification in acpuncture. Helen also has a certificate in feline medicine. Helen now has a baby boy Charlie born on 23/09/2013.

  • Sydney Francis Ritchie BVMS MRCVS

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Sydney graduated from Glasgow University in 2014 & joined us on 4th August 2014. Her special interests are neurology, surgery & orthopaedics. Outside of work she has 2 rescue cats from the SSPCA called Amos & Roma. Sydney also enjoys dancing, playing the guitar & likes to paint & draw.

  • Sarah Cannon BVetMed MRCVS

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Sarah is originally from California where she completed her first degree in Zoology and Chemistry, but decided to stay in England after graduating from the Royal Veterinary College in July 2015. She joined the Pet Doctors team in August 2015 and is particularly interested in surgery and diagnostic imaging. Sarah grew up with dogs and cats, and helped train her cat to use the toilet instead of a litter tray! Aside from work she enjoys reading, wine tasting, pottery, and horror films.

  • Sally Maynard VN

    Head Veterinary Nurse/Practice Administrator

    Sally has been with us since 2007. She has three dogs, Bob, Beanie & Bentley and two cats. Some of you may recognise 'Bob the Boss' from our picture board in reception, he is something of a mascot. Bob only has three legs due to an accident when he was younger. Due to this Sally has developed a keen interest in physiotherapy and hydrotherapy. She has previously worked at a hydrotherapy centre as well as being an orthopaedic referral nurse for 2.5 years; Sally has also completed a course in physiotherapy. Sally is also the person we go to for dog behaviour and training tips.

  • Cat Wallman RVN

    Veterinary Nurse

    Cat qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1999 and joined Pet Doctors in Guildford in 2004. Cat had previously qualified with a degree in Horticulture, but her love for greyhounds turned her toward veterinary nursing. As well as greyhounds, Cat is especially interested in cat behaviour and has recently passed her FAB Cat Friendly Advanced Nursing with Distinction.

  • Sarah Uiterwijk RVN

    Vet Nurse

    Sarah join the Guildford team Autumn 2015. Sarah is from Australia, where she studied and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2010. She moved to the UK in 2014 to work and travel, and has been here ever since. She joined the Pet Doctors team as a locum in Nov 2015 and enjoyed it so much she has taken on a full time role until she moves back home at the end of the year. She enjoys all aspects of nursing. Sarah grew up with many pets which included dogs, cats, budgies, rabbits, guineas and a turtle and owns a big dopey Staffordshire called Boof, who is living with her family while he waits for her to come home. Aside from work she enjoys reading, socializing, travelling and sport.

  • Kelly Charlton RVN

    Deputy Head Veterinary nurse

    Kelly is here at weekends and often covers other staff on holiday here and in other Pet Doctors sites. She enjoys all aspects of nursing. Kelly's parents have two miniature Bull Terriers called Mini & Digga & she also loves guinea pigs. Her interests include old Volkswagen cars and dining out.

  • Katie Briscombe

    Trainee veterinary nurse

    Katie joined Onslow Village Vets in 2013 and after enrolling as a Trainee veterinary nurse in September 2014 she now joins us at Guildford for two days a week.After studying Animal Behaviour & Welfare she moved near the Kruger National Park in South Africa for two years to develop her knowledge of African species. She worked closely with elephants, then moved on to a reptile park and briefly a babboon rehabilitation centre, before returning to England to persue her dream of working with small animals. She is particularly interested in feline behaviour.

  • Jackie Helm

    Receptionist

    Jackie has worked for the company since January 2000. Her first love is animals & has owned everything from a horse to a mouse. She also enjoys watching live bands & loves her cottage which she & her husband have been renovating for years. She has also done alot of overland travels in her time - visiting 69 countries to date. Yoga is another favourite to keep the body going & for relaxation aswell.

  • Rosie Vokes

    Receptionist

    Rosie joined the team earlier this year as our new receptionist. Rosie has previously worked in Quarantine and was a senior assistant at a large boarding kennels and cattery. Rosie is accredited in Canine & Feline first aid and is currently studying Advanced Canine Psychology. Rosie has also done a lot of Volunteering work with Canine Partners (assistance dogs) and with Cats Protection for 13 years assisting with rehoming on the website. In her leisure time she enjoys training her own black labrador dog called Diesel and not so much training with her cat Simba.
