  Helen Gething BVetMed MRCVS

  Head Veterinary Surgeon

  Helen graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2003 and joined us here at Guildford in 2007. Helen has two lovely cats, Maggie and Daisy, who she hand reared. Her special interests are internal medicine and she also has a qualification in acupuncture. Helen is currently studying a one year modular course in feline medicine.

  Martin Jeffery BVetMed MRCVS

  Veterinary Surgeon

  Martin joined us in 2010, he has many years of experience and has previously worked in both large and small animal practices. Martin graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 1974. He has a cat called Harriet who was brought in as a stray here at Guildford; she does a good job of keeping him in check.

  Cat Wallman RVN

  Veterinary Nurse

  Cat qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1999 and joined Pet Doctors in Guildford in 2004. Cat had previously qualified with a degree in Horticulture, but her love for greyhounds turned her toward veterinary nursing. As well as greyhounds, Cat is especially interested in cat behaviour and has just passed her FAB Cat Friendly Advanced Nursing with Distinction.

  Sally Maynard VN

  Veterinary Nurse

  Sally has been with us since 2007. She has two dogs, Bob and Beanie and three cats. Some of you may recognise 'Bob the Boss' from our picture board in reception, he is something of a mascot. Bob only has three legs due to an accident when he was younger. Due to this Sally has developed a keen interest in physiotherapy and hydrotherapy. She has previously worked at a hydrotherapy centre as well as being an orthopedic referral nurse for two and a half years; Sally has also completed a course in physiotherapy. Sally is also the person we go to for dog behaviour and training tips.

  Merrin Kalinowski

  Receptionist

  Merrin joined us in 2010. She is a graduate with a BA and MA in English Literature. Merrin has always had animals: cats, dogs, hamsters, guinea pigs and horses! She currently has a hamster called Jasmine, has a soft spot for border collies and enjoys horse riding regularly. Her favourite part of the job is playing with puppies and kittens (of course!) and getting to know our clients.

  Nefeli Mikirditsian

  Receptionist

  Nefeli also joined us 2010; Nefeli is from Athens and she has a BA degree in English Linguistics she then moved to Surrey to complete an MA in Audiovisual Translation. Nefeli loves cats and big dogs, she currently has a gerbil that she gave a home to after she was brought in to us having been caught by a client's cat!

• Andrea Johnson VN

  Veterinary Nurse

  Andrea is one of our weekend nurses, she does many of the weekend shifts and also helps us out when we need cover. She is very experienced and has a menagerie of animals at home, from chickens to horses!

• Cat Eaton VN

  Veterinary Nurse

  Cat is another of our weekend nurses, she has worked at Pet Doctors for many years and has a lovely litle poodle called Molly and two cats called Bella and Steven.

  Veterinary Nurse

  Helena is another of our weekend nurses often helps us out with cover. She has a dog called Twizzle who she rescued and brought home from China!
