We have 4 long established sites across the island in Newport, Ryde, Lake and Cowes.  Our Newport branch is the only Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons accredited hospital on the island providing nursing cover on site 24/7, meaning your pets have someone to care for them around the clock should they ever require us.  Our clinics have an above average set of facilities and equipment that allow us to provide a high level of diagnostic and surgical care, backed up by our highly trained and compassionate staff.

  • Caroline Baker MRCVS

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Caroline Joined Pet Doctors in January 2018. Caroline moved back to the IOW with her Husband (and our Senior vet at Lake Simon) 3 years ago, after a break from the profession Caroline has joined us at Ryde on a part time basis

  • Alessandra Fasciani MRCVS

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Alessandra joined Pet Doctors in 2016. She has a keen interest in internal medicine and outside of work enjoys travelling and oriental culture, she would love to visit Japan and Korea in the future. She also loves shopping and has an interest in toy breeds such as Chihuahua's. Alessandra splits her time between the Ryde and Newport clinics

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Heather joined Pet Doctors in 2017. She has a keen interest in dentistry and surgery. Heather graduated from the RVC in 2015. Outside of work she enjoys regular gym sessions and walking on the IOW with her 2 dogs

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Lucy Joined Pet Doctors in May 2017. Lucy graduated in 2016, and is enroled on our new graduate program which supports our veterinary team through the first 2 years of qualification offering them a variety of courses to expand their knowledge.

  • Kay Sothcott RVN

    Veterinary Nurse

    Kay began nursing at our Ryde Practice in July 2002. Before this I gained three and a half years of nursing experience at another Island practice then called Beckingham & Thomas. The partners/practice eventually merged and this is now the Pet Doctors Animal Hospital in Newport. Kay is currently studying a Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing at Sparsholt College in Winchester. She owns a much loved, elderly Border Terrier/Jack Russell cross who was born in August 1996. They still enjoy their walks together although they do take a little longer than they used to!

  • Pam Barnes RVN

    Veterinary Nurse

    Pam has worked within Pet Doctors for many years, she under took her nursing qualification at the Newport hospital and returned to work at the Ryde branch after coming back to work after having her son. Pam enjoys the surgeical role within the clinic

    Trina Edkins, Grace McEvoy and Sarah Edmead complete our welcoming and friendly receptionist team who all enjoy chatting to our clients to get to know them and their pets.
