Pet Doctors Raise over £2,000 for Charity

Oct 9, 2009

At the start in SouthamptonSix simultaneous sponsored dog walks across the South East of England held by Pet Doctors have so far raised £2,000 with donations still coming in.

The funds have been raised for CHILDREN with LEUKAEMIA, a charity dedicated to fighting Britain’s most common childhood cancer.
Over 125 dogs and owners took part in the six three mile walks which took place in beauty spots ranging from Witchford Common in Ely to Kingston Ridge in Lewes on Sunday 27 September 2009.  Pet Doctors is matching every pound donated by sponsored walkers up to £1,000 helping the vet group boost funds for the charity which researches the causes of the disease, develops treatments and supports affected families.

Well-earned rest at the end in West Sussex!“We had a fantastic turnout at all of our walks and were blessed with wonderful weather,” commented David Hodges, a senior vet at Pet Doctors.  “Everyone who took part seems to have a great time and we’re so grateful for the support we’ve received from our clients and their friends and families.  We’re delighted to have raised funds for CHILDREN with LEUKEMIA to help it continue its life-changing work.”
